Western Medicine is based on the science of the lab. Eastern Medicine is based on the science of observing and understanding how life moves and changes. The art of acupuncture is that it’s not a static treatment; it evolves with the patient.
Since 1983 we have helped more than 358,000 people from all over Brisbane

We are an inner-west Brisbane Acupuncture Clinic combining modern methods with traditional techniques for immediate relief and lasting results.
At Paddington Clinic we combine treatments which are thousands of years old with the latest practices backed by science and clinical studies.
Drawing from 3000 years of history, the acupuncture styles we use are gentle and suited to everyone, including needle-shy patients and children.
We use ultra thin needles inserted just a few millimetres into the skin to trigger a response to kickstart the body’s natural healing process.
Acupuncture is both an art and a science that aims to return your ‘spark’ for life rather than just being symptom-free.
Our acupuncture treatments aim to ease physical, emotional and neurological symptoms while treating the causes and contributing factors.
Acupuncture is built on a unique understanding of how the body works, its connection to the world around us and the laws of nature.
There are more than 360 acupuncture points on the human body with 150 in the ear alone. The point combinations are complex; our practitioners have studied for many years and continue ongoing training.

No. Generally the sensation where the needle is placed is very mild.
There are different styles of acupuncture that could be considered painful but the styles we use are very gentle.
You should see change in the body immediately.
How much this flows onto symptomatic change can differ between people.
Some people need acculative change while others have very rapid change.
This can depend on the person and their particular situation.
Each session will be assessed for its beneficial change. Some people need more, some less to get the outcome they are looking for.
As a general rule we say 6 sessions is considered a course of treatment.
This can be affected by factors such as stress, overworking, lifestyle factor and your general health condition.
Acupuncture sessions should have an accumulative effect, the more your system returns to optimal function longer the benefit lasts.
We do encourage people to do proactive maintenance, which for most people is about a month.
The more time you have to allow treatment to integrate the better.
Minimise anything strenuous or stressful; but we appreciate you do have a life.
